Marriage is taking the feeblest and filthiest of one another and working with God to transform each other into the dazzling, radiant creatures God intended. Where we get this wrong is when we forget how God is changing us. God doesn’t change us with spite or punishment or passive aggression. God changes us with a gracious invitation to the table.
